Mr. James L. Carroll

In humble submission to the will of God, the management & staff of J.L. Litman Memorial Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Mr. James L. Carroll  he departed this life on January 13,2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital  in Albany, GA .Funeral Service will be held  Saturday , January 18,2020 at   1P.M. in the sanctuary of   US 19 Church of Christ ,724 Liberty Expy, Albany, GA 31705. Burial will follow in Floral Memory Gardens 120 Old Pretoria Rd, Albany, GA 31721.Please keep the  family of Mr. James Carroll in your prayers as we Reflect the Gracious Memories. James L. Carroll was born on March 2, 1935 to Mr. & Mrs. James and Troy Lee Carroll.

He was educated in Dougherty County Public Schools.  He graduated from Albany State College, now Albany State University with a B.S. in Social Science.  Bro. Carroll was a faithful member of the US 19 Church of Christ in Albany.

Affectionally known as the Insurance Man, he was an avid supporter of the ASU Golden Rams.  During his spare time you might find him participating in Elks Lodge events or his favorite past time, playing checkers.


His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife of 57 years, Corine (Guyton) Carroll, children, Rhonda Lisa Carroll of Atlanta, GA, son James Michael (Zelda) Carroll of Jacksonville, FL.  His loving sister, Janie Traylor, Albany, GA. Grandchildren: Shaqueria, Jamal, Janae, and Jayden Carroll of Jacksonville, FL. Two great-grandchildren: Laila Carroll, Raleigh, NC and Amari Carroll, Jacksonville, FL; Goddaughter, Monica Whitley, Albany, GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
