Evangelist Dr. Zola Mae Walker was born on July 11, 1945 to the late Enoch Harris and Rilla Mae Garner Harris. She was educated in the Dougherty County School System. She worked for Coats & Clark and retired after 36 years of service. She received a Doctoral Degree in Theology at El Shaddai School of Theology, North Carolina University and studied business at Meadow's College in Albany, Georgia.
She was an associate minister at the House of Prayer by Faith Church God's Hospital under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Henry M. Brown, Overseer and Pastor. In her early years she was under the leadership of Apostle Isaiah Revills, Albany Holiness Deliverance Cathedral where she was for many years an anointed worship and praise leader. She saved many souls through her singing. She for many years traveled from city to city and state to state with the Crusade Party. She was on the battlefield for the Lord. She also traveled to Haiti, Israel and Africa. She is the founder of Happy Hour Ministries Outreach Inc. She set up camp meetings, revivals, ministered throughout the community and ministered wherever God sent her. She established and ministered on the Happy Hour Ministries Outreach Inc. radio broadcast WRXL 106.1 FM Gospel station. She was an entrepreneur. She was loved by many.
Left to cherish her memories two beautiful daughters Vickie Thomas (Willie) and Carla Walker; sisters Flora Mae Stokes, Valgene Hill and Wanda Walker; brothers Enoch Harris Jr. and Harold Harris. She was preceded in death by sister Laura McKinley; brothers Bennie Lee Harris and Charlie Frank Harris. Left to cherish memory grandchildren Charmetrice W. Wyche (Eric), Lecory S. Walker Sr., (Shunkela), Shawntavious M. Walker, Michael M. Walker and Dontavious D. Walker and her great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends Minister Bernice Smith, Apostle Ida Austin and Shirley Wise.
