Mary A Green

Mrs. Mary Alice Green formally of Albany, GA passed away August 12, 2018 in Austell, GA.  Funeral Service will be held Friday August 24, 2018 at 11 A.M. in the sanctuary of Antioch Baptist Church 3512 Moultrie Rd, Albany, GA 31705.Burial will follow in the Antioch Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Alice Grant Green was born January 29, 1944, the youngest child of 8, to Emanual Grant Sr. and Jessie Moffett Grant in Albany, GA. She attended public schools in Dougherty County and graduated high school in Inglewood, CA at the Inglewood Adult High School.

In life, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Albany, GA and the Ebony Rose Social Club in Los Angeles, CA. She worked in various roles in the Fulton County School District in Atlanta including lead custodian and a tenacious cafeteria cook. She will best be remembered for her delicious sweet potato pies, cornbread dressing, and her ferocity at the card table.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Edith Brown, Jessie Lee Grant, Thelma Brown, Dorothy Foster, Ralph Grant Sr., Emanual Grant Jr., and Melvin Grant. She leaves behind to mourn her two (2) loving sons: Andre and Dmitri Bryant; daughter-in-law Kimberly Bryant; three (3) grandchildren: Emmanual McGinnie, Imani Bryant, and Kennedy Bryant; and a host of extended family and friends.
