Mr. Darryl LaNard Kilcrease was born on September 30, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, to the proud parents of Miles Kilcrease Sr. and Joyce Kilcrease. From an early age, Darryl’s warm smile and outgoing personality made a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He received his formal education in Savannah, Georgia, where he graduated from Groves High School in 1985. Following graduation, Darryl answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Navy, an experience that helped shape his discipline, character, and sense of pride.
Darryl’s faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He shared a deep and special connection with The United House of Prayer for All People, where he found spiritual strength, fellowship, and purpose. One of his greatest joys was expressing his faith through music. Darryl had a profound love for the trombone and took great pride in playing in the church band, using his musical gift to praise God and uplift others. His devotion to his faith and church family was evident in both his actions and his unwavering commitment.
Known for his fun-loving spirit and infectious laughter, Darryl never met a stranger and easily formed meaningful connections with everyone he met. He was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his jovial personality, kind heart, and musical spirit will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
