Ms. Anna Warren Johnson Obituary

On May 29, 1937, the world was blessed with the birth of Anna Warren Johnson in Sasser, Georgia, to the late Alford Warren, Sr. and Anna Anderson Warren. She was educated in the Dougherty County School System and later dedicated more than 25 years of service to Albany State University, where she worked as Head Custodian until her retirement.

At an early age, Anna accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She became a faithful member of Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served devotedly until her health declined.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, God gently called Anna home from labor to reward at her residence in Putney, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roosevelt Johnson; her children, Eddie Warren and Anna Maria Johnson; and her siblings, Alford Warren, Jr., Mike Warren, Willie Warren, Margaret Amos, and Elizabeth Smith.

Anna was a caring and giving woman whose infectious smile and generous spirit touched everyone she met. She never met a stranger and was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving a lasting imprint on their lives. Her laughter lingered long after the moment had passed, and her love made people feel safe, seen, and cared for. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Helen Warren, Willie James Johnson, Johnny Johnson (Shelia), and Donna Fluellen (Michael); 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who were blessed to know her.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
