Bonnie Joyce Davis Holsey, 74, of Albany, GA, passed away on November 10, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1951, in Albany, GA, to John Henry and Jessie Mae Davis.
Bonnie, affectionately known as “BJ,” lived a life defined by her faith, kindness, laughter, and an unwavering love for her family. She never met a stranger and left a lasting impression wherever she went. She was a prayer warrior and was always ready to share her faith.
Bonnie is survived by her five children. Eldest son, Rickey Harpe, daughter Kimbalynn Simmons (Arthur Simmons), daughter Lashawnda Hall (Will Hall), son Rashaad Watson, daughter Courtney Watson. Sixteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored, calling them her little kings and princesses. Siblings: Six sisters, Alton McLendon, Ernestine Davis Oliver, Greta Davis, Angela Willougby, Mary Davis, Martha Davis and one brother, Alphonso Davis. A host of nephews , nieces, cousins and friends that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Jessie Mae Davis and a brother, James Roger Davis.
Bonnie will be remembered always for her joyful presence that brought light into the lives of those around her.
