Pastor Mrs. Lillie Washington -Bankston Obituary

Pastor Lillie Pearl Hill Washington-Bankston, born March 13, 1942, to Minnie Yancey
Hall and Willie Frank Hill in Worth County, GA, preceded her in death. She attended
Worth County School.


Pastor Washington-Bankston confessed Christ early at Second Mt. Olive under Rev.
Heath. Later joined The First Albany Deliverance (RFVM) under the last Apostle Isiah
Revills in 1971. She served as a Pastor of Waycross Deliverance Church in Waycross,
GA.


She worked at John Dukes Sandwich Shop and later retired in 1974 from Marine Base,
where she worked in the Mess Hall. After retiring, she became an entrepreneur “The Go
Getta”, “The Flea Market Queen”, “The Donut and Candy Apple Lady” and “The Thrift
Lady”.


She was a member of Daughter Issa OES Prince Hall as a 33rd-degree OES.


She departed on December 11, 2024, at Betty’s (Daughter) home in Albany, GA.
She leaves six siblings: Sarah Green, Mary Green, Flossie Johnson, Delphine King
(Willie) Smith, Mary Hobbs, and J. B Hall.


Preceded by five sisters: Mercedes Griffin, Bernice Lee, Gussie Gleen, Annie
Washington, Mattie Bell Hill and six brothers: David Hall, Grady Hall, Jessie D Hall,
Willie Frank Hill, Roosevelt Hill and Lucius Hill.


She joined holy matrimony to O’neal Washington on October 13, 1957 (deceased);
later, she married Charles Bankston on April 5, 2012 in Sylvester, GA. She is the
mother of five children: Betty Thomas, Evelyn (Wilbert) Bryant, James (Linda)
Washington, Gloria Boyd Washington of Albany, GA, and Chiquella (Ian) Sargeant of
Pooler, GA. Four step-children: Tomeka Bankston, Lashonda Bankston, Karlicia
Rogers, and Charles Bankston, Jr. Twenty-six grandchildren: Robrinca (Torey) Dunbar,
Minister Cheneca (Charles Maddox) Jenkins, Terrence Jenkins, Quais Rowe, Jeremiah
(Brandi) Davis, Dr. Yolanda Davis (Charlie) Harp, Jimmie (Juddy Campo) Davis,
Demaris Davis, Quintravious Washington, Markeshia Scott, Montavious Edwards,
Kenya Edwards, Kentavious Edwards, James Washington Jr., Micheal Sallaway, Erica
Acree, Jamilha Washington, Jacsha Bailey, Erica Bush, Charlene Green, Carolyn
Green, Xavier Harris, O’Ryan Washington Jalyn Bryant, Caleb Byrant and Trent
Bankston. Fourty-two great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, a host of
sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, cousins, friends, church members and Pershelia
Johnson a special friend.
